Before Your Move: Important Information You Should Know
Because let's face it, moving can be stressful
Moving involves many details, and unexpected fees or requirements can cause delays or extra costs. These terms and conditions are here to help you understand our services fully and make sure you go into your move with all the necessary information.
Take a moment to review them carefully so your move is smooth, clear, and stress-free.
If on the day of your move, you have more items that are not reflected on your quoted and original inventory list, you will be provided with an updated quote for moving the additional items.
For Experia Moving & Storage LLC to move your additional items, you will be required to review your updated quote and will be charged an additional moving fee for those items. Payment for the additional items can be made over the phone. We accept all major credit, Visa, and debit cards. If payment for the additional items will be using cash or bank check, the balance must be collected before the move starts.
If any glass, marble, or granite pieces require additional protection, handling/protection fees may apply.
Furniture must be emptied by the customer prior to the move to reduce the risk of damage.
Prior to collection, it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that televisions and monitors are accompanied by their respective power cables for testing purposes. Failure to provide these cables will result in the inability to test the functionality of these items. In such cases, Experia Moving & Storage LLC will not be held liable for any damage or malfunction of the item during transportation.
If a storage bed requires full disassembly and reassembly, a $100 fee applies for handling.
If the armoire requires full disassembly and reassembly, a $150–$250 fee applies for handling.
If the china cabinet requires full disassembly and reassembly, a $150–$300 fee applies for handling.
If a bookcase requires full disassembly and reassembly, a $100–$150 fee applies for handling.
If any items exceed the weight of 200 lbs, or require special protection (marble, granite, glass pieces), additional fees may apply ($50–$400).
If any items cannot go in/out of the apartment, additional cost may apply for additional labor. In cases when Experia Moving & Storage LLC services cannot help, it is the customer's responsibility to make separate arrangements.
If any items cannot fit in the elevator, a stairs charge will apply.
If waiting time is needed, the price will be adjusted at $150/hour.
The minimum size of the move/storage is 200 cubic feet. If the volume of the move/storage decreases under 200 cubic feet, no further refunds will apply. The minimum for long-distance moves is 300 cubic feet.
Your belongings will be covered with free BASIC coverage of $0.60 per pound per article (item) by default, as required by the Department of Transportation, New York.
Experia Moving & Storage LLC may request additional fees if you have nominated 3rd-party insurance for your items, to ensure that our moving and packing supplies match the value of your items.
